Hi, I've had my Spacewalk server registered to itself for almost three years so far without problems.

I use the Red Hat subscription certificate files located on that machine within Spacewalk to create a local copy of the RHEL 7 repositories for consumption by all my other servers. We also do configuration management, auto-errata, and remote commands on our machines through Spacewalk. My question is: should I register the Spacewalk server to *itself*? I would very much like to be able to do config management, patching, etc. on the Spacewalk machine using Spacewalk (so it matches everything else), but I'm concerned that may break my synchronization/reposync with the Red Hat Network official repositories... Any advice or use cases that might point me to the "best" answer here? Thanks everyone! ---------------------------------------------- Dillon Mills IT Security Engineer, Staff [email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>
