Hello all,

I have a problem with Taskomatic on Spacewalk 2.7. The channel repodata
have not been generated for a few days. This means that none of the frozen
channels created since are usable, and we can't patch the servers
registered anymore.

We tried the following :

· Restart the service

· Check the configuration file : it has not changed (I especially
think about the max memory) and there's no misconfiguration

· Remove the content of /var/cache/rhn/repodata (and restart the
service) to trigger a regeneration

· Database seems ok, not corrupted, no flag indicating a process
stuck on something

· We checked the partitions were not full (they are not)

· We also tried to delete the schedule channel-repodata-bunch and
recreate it

Taskomatic just don't do anything anymore. When I display the logs, there
is information indicating that all the workers are put to work. How do we
know how much worker there are ? Is the number of workers configurable
somewhere ? Should we have more ?

Apart from that, the logs are not very "talkative", we don't have any
information as to why the repodata are not generated anymore, for any
channel. We just see lines regarding SessionCleanup or AutoErrataTask for
exemple.

When using taskotop, we can see a line for the channel-repodata task, we
see it is running, but there is never any channel displayed in the Channel
column. We can also see the task marked as running in the Admin tab of the
WebUI, but if we let it, it never stops. The task runs indefinitely,
whithout ever doing anything.

I have no other idea than trying to upgrade to version 2.8 now. Has anyone
have any idea about what is going on ?

Thanks for your help !

Regards,
