Double check the steps in https://github.com/spacewalkproject/spacewalk/wiki/HowToInstall#setting-up -spacewalk-repo or directly check the spacewalk repo definition files in /etc/yum.repos.d/spacewalk* to make sure that the version specific ones are pointing to 2.9 URLs and not 2.8.
