Just a warning for everyone ... I've officially changed the development release from 2.70 to 3.0.0. This was discussed on the list, and due to the extensive API and code changes it makes sense to call it a new major release.
For those wondering -- we decided a while ago that we wanted to get
away from the X.YZ release numbering and goto the more "standard"
X.Y.Z structure. Hence 3.0.0 instead of 3.00 ... :)
