------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-02-27 11:23 ------- I'd suggest the following: 1) That we close this bug (possibly adding to the SA documentation). SA isn't psychic, so it can't just guess which dialup connections are legit and which are not. 2) That we ponder finding a reliable way to detect if SMTP AUTH is in use, and have SA check whitelists accordingly. Note that the other methods of allowing SMTP connections from arbitrary hosts (POP before SMTP, solutions based on logging into a web proxy, etc.) probably cannot be directly integrated into SA, due to the wide variety of solutions in use. See bug #2462 for info on the SMTP auth problem. 3) That SA users experiencing trouble with roaming users disable dialup RBLs entirely until a method for detecting SMTP AUTH is implemented. Or, as a workaround, instruct the clients in question to use their local SMTP smarthost for outbound mail. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
