Summary: New Rule suggestion: excessive HTML commentary
Product: Spamassassin
Version: unspecified
Platform: All
OS/Version: All
Status: NEW
Severity: enhancement
Priority: P3
Component: Rules
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Several emails a day are regularly slipping through my filters, by making
excessive use of HTML comments to break up otherwise flaggable phrases, like so:
<li>T<!r>he<!d>re<!u> a<!y>r<!b>e
<!j>n<!m>o<!n>
<!q>r<!y>e<!c>qu<!v>i<!c>r<!l>e<!b>d<!t> tes<!p>t<!p>s<!k>,<!r>
<!n>cl<!p>a<!m>s<!n>ses<!n>,<!s>
<!u>b<!r>o<!l>ok<!d>s,<!h>
<!j>o<!x>r<!q>
<!w>i<!g>n<!e>terv<!t>iews<!m>!<br>
A rule which is able to check the ratio of commented HTML to active HTML or
body text would be most useful.
