Summary: DNSBL tests fail due to extra space in Received: header
Product: Spamassassin
Version: 2.63
Platform: PC
OS/Version: FreeBSD
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P4
Component: spamassassin
AssignedTo: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
ReportedBy: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
Here is a simple test showing a case where the DNSBL tests work (s4) and then
fail (s5) when a space is added at the end of a Received header:

Daffy.timing.com is my MTA running spamass-milter. So the received header that
spamd gets (shown in s4 above) is not complete yet. After it is fully accepted
the Received header looks like:
Received: from essn-d9baf6db.pool.mediaways.net
(essn-d9baf6db.pool.mediaWays.net [217.186.246.219])
by Daffy.timing.com (8.12.8p2/8.12.8) with SMTP id i2G0O0is033811;
Mon, 15 Mar 2004 17:24:18 -0700 (MST)
(envelope-from [EMAIL PROTECTED])
That works fine.
But since SA seems to be getting confused by the extra space, the milter isn't
getting hits on the DNSBL rules.
