I guess what I'm asking for is the ability to disable --lint's warning messages
so that only errors are reported. It is important to check for errors, but it
isn't as important for me to check for warnings.

The issue here is that if I'm running RulesDuJour as a nightly cron script, then
I want to be told when there are errors and I don't care as much about warnings
and I don't want the warnings to cause RulesDuJour to fail, which is what the
current behaviour of it is.

Also, it would be nice if SA officially supported RulesDuJour. Think along the
lines of Norton Antivirus Automatic Update. Spammers and virus writers are
constantly changing their tactics. It would make sense that SA would have an
auto-rule-update feature built into it which supports not only the default set
of rules, but also 3rd party rules so that I can stay ahead of the spammer
curve.

Right now, I have to constantly update SA's entire source code which as you guys
have seen over the last few days is a source of headache because it requires me
to run against SNV head and find all of your bugs.

It would be nice if the process of the core engine was more clearly separated
from the collection of rules and that the rules themselves knew which minimum
engine version they could be run with.
