Subject: Re: [review] German translation of rule descriptions
Hi,
I mostly agree with the changes, but I have some objections (some even
to my own translations :-):
HTML_TAG_BALANCE_*; "html"-Tags
"Tags" is not a German word and not commonly used in every-day German
language (like some other English words). This may not be obvious to
programmers but I think my original "Markierungen" is better suited
for the target audience, being (IMO) a clerk in an office or a
private person using a computer at home.
HTML_SHORT_CENTER: "center"-Element
HTML_NONELEMENT_*: HTML-Elemente
HTML_TITLE_EXTRA: "title"-Element
HTML_MIME_NO_HTML_TAG: "html"-Element
HTML_FONT_BIG: HTML-Markierung
HTML_FONT_TINY: HTML-Markierung
HTML_BACKHAIR_1: HTML-Markierungen
HTML_BACKHAIR_2: HTML-Markierungen
HTML_BACKHAIR_4: HTML-Markierungen
HTML_BACKHAIR_8: HTML-Markierungen
HTML_ATTR_BAD: HTML-Markierungen
HTML_ATTR_UNIQUE: HTML-Markierungen
FORGED_OUTLOOK_TAGS: HTML-Markierung
We should be consistent, either we use "Element", "Tags"
or "Markierungen". I would vote for the latter, although it is
longer than the other two.
ciao
Klaus
