------- Additional Comments From [EMAIL PROTECTED] 2004-08-26 06:59 ------- maybe it only effects perl 5.6.1, because that seems to be the common factor between Chris and I. i'm running syslogd v1.4.1 and SA 3.0.0-rc1. I have many boxes to reproduce this on if you'd like access to them as well. They currently all run --syslog-socket=none however due to this problem. after a service syslog restart, kill -15 on the parent process does nothing. kill -9 on the parent process kills the parent, but the childs are still active, then daemontool respawns the parent, but the tcp socket is already in use, so it respawns it, and continues this loop until all the children are kill -9. all i know if when i issue a "svc -d /service/spamd" after a syslog restart, spamd blows up and it never used to. d ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are the assignee for the bug, or are watching the assignee.
