My solution was changing from call spamassassin for any mail received to spamc/spamd and using the mda option in fetchmail instead of delievering via port 25 causing only one mail to be delievered (and processed through SA) at a time. The latter one is possibly not neccessary but I'm a bit paranoid because I lost some mails as my machine was running out of swap space and finally crashed SA and MTA processes.
