Hi all!

My problem feels like a faq/rtfm but I have not been able to find a
satisfactory answer in the documentation, so therefore I am trying this
list!

We use SpamAssassin globally on a fairly large hosting system, and
occasionally we notice a lot of spamc/spamd-processes hanging idle on the
servers. It seems to be related to spamd trying to connect razor
unsuccessfully (due to network problems).

Is there any simple way to set a timeout for non-local checks, perhaps as
low as 5-10 seconds? That way we can process the emails with all
local-checks, even if razor is unreachable. With the current setup
sendmail times out and the message is not scanned at all (we run spamc
from a sendmail milter with 30s timeout)

I would prefer some feedback on this before I start hacking on spamd =)

Best regards,
Linus
