Another point is the additional clog on your outbound mail server. You run into this problem with an MXing SA gateway too. When a message bounces, 99% chance it's got a bad return address. But since you're sending a message out, the MTA will spin on it in the queue for a week. More spam comes in, more bounce messages wait to go out. Normally it's not a problem, assuming the mail server can handle the load. But if something goes wrong with the box and you want to make sure no one's mail's been lost, it's a lot of extra cruft to dig through before being able to say "yes boss, sendmail's got your email nice and safe". -- Ross Vandegrift [EMAIL PROTECTED] A Pope has a Water Cannon.
