Sure, delete all the installed files.
Typically they're under /usr/share/spamassassin,
/usr/lib/perl5/site_perl/*/Mail/SpamAssassin{,.pm}, and
/etc/mail/spamassassin.

Well, first, if you're using spamd, you don't want to run spamassassin
-- run spamc.  Second, these programs expect the mail on STDIN, not
the commandline, so "spamassassin -t < spam.txt > spam.out" or "spamc
< spam.txt > spam.out".

I don't know anything about vpopmail, but if you don't run SA properly
via commandline, you're not going to get it run any other way either.
