Hello again, I see that whitelist_from_rcvd checks the domain in the Received headers and also requires an IP dot quad after the domain. However, with my Exim v4.10, it doesn't add a dot-quad for local mail. If I open a root shell and type:
echo hello | mail skye Then I get this in my mailbox: From [EMAIL PROTECTED] Thu Jan 9 10:14:07 2003 Envelope-to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Received: from root by seattle.f4.ca with local (Exim 4.10) id 18WhBv-0007oi-00 for [EMAIL PROTECTED]; Thu, 09 Jan 2003 10:14:07 -0800 To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Message-Id: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> From: F4 Superuser <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Date: Thu, 09 Jan 2003 10:14:07 -0800 X-Spam-Status: No, hits=1.1 required=5.0 tests=SPAM_PHRASE_00_01,SUBJ_MISSING version=2.43 X-Spam-Level: * hello And this is in my local.cf: whitelist_from_rcvd [EMAIL PROTECTED] seattle.f4.ca Can someone recommend an exim setting to change this behaviour? Note: if the mail is received from a remote source, it DOES have the dot-quad after the domain name.
