Looks as though you might have a previous SA install in /usr/bin. By default, SA > 2.4 installs in /usr/local/bin, and by simply calling 'spamassassin' you'll be using the /usr/bin version. Test this by prepending '/usr/local/bin' to 'spamassassin -t' and see if that works. If it does, find the instances of SA utilities and the daemon in /usr/bin and delete them. When you've done that, delete /usr/share/spamassassin too, since the new SA install will be using /usr/local/share/spamassassin instead.
