I've searched through archives and documentation,
and I can't find any mention of this issue, so I hope nobody minds my asking
here. I'm running Exim 3.36 and SpamAssassin 2.55 on a RedHat 8.0 machine.
I've used 'dman's configuration for Exim 3.x (his
page is widely referenced, but I can't get at it; I was lucky to get a cached
copy from Google). He notes that when starting 'spamd' as a daemon, you want the
'-F 0' option to turn off the addition of the 'From' header (mbox
format).
When I try running 'spamd -F 0' from a command
prompt (in 'su' mode), I get back a message: The -F option has been
removed.
So, what does one do if one needs that function? My
messages are showing up as:
<new headers>
<blank line>
From <address>
<dateandtimestamp> <- mbox format header
<original headers>
<SpamAssassin headers>
<blank line>
<original body>
From what 'dman' says, it sounds as though I have
to have that '-F 0' function. How can I obtain it?
Thanks in advance for any help you can
give.
