I think -j 2 is probably slower (or at least not worth the load) on most
uniprocessors and will have larger number of lock collisions (still not
too bad in terms of collisions, though).  I leave off -j whenever I'm
not doing net checks.

Of course, if you have a dual, definitely use "-j 2".  :-)
