Yes. Don't install it from CPAN. It is better if your package manager knows about your installed files. Instead install the rpms onto your system. Reading the www.spamassassin.org site and following the download link for rpms will take you here: http://spamassassin.kluge.net/RPMS/ You may need to rebuild the src rpms so that the dependencies will match your system.
