I have installed Spamassassin 2.61-2 on Debian Sarge, but I can't get the daemon to run. Running "/etc/init.d/spamassassin start" does not complain about any error, but nothing happens.
There is no spamd process running. I can not find any reference to
spamassassin or spamd in /var/log either.
How do I determine what is wrong?
