Well, clamav is a file-based tool, and isn't fundamentally email based like spamc..


you'd need to use some other tool to decode the attachments, feed them to the scanner, and handle the results.

At that point, you've just invented something similar to one of the many virus-scanning integration tools like amavisd-new, MailScanner, etc.
