Hello, I have been running Spamassassin 2.63 with spamd for some
time now and have really not had any problems. However, I would like to add virus
scanning to my setup and the only way I see to do this is with Amavis. I
downloaded and installed Amavis and have it working…basically. The
problem is that it is so slow in checking mail that my queue backs up to 10,000’s
of thousands before I have to switch it back to spamd. I have asked this to
the Amavis list and they say that it is in my Spamassassin configuration. I have left everything the same in my local.cf file and just
changed: spamfilter unix - n n - - pipe flags=Rq user=filter argv=/usr/local/anomy/filter.sh
-f${sender} -- ${recipient} to: smtp inet n - n -
- smtpd -o content_filter=smtp-amavis:[127.0.0.1]:10024 In the master.cf file. When doing that everything starts
running through amavis like it should but when I do an amavis debug-sa the SA
CHECK is always 97%+ of the time…and the time ranges in the 2.7 to 12
second range per email where the spamd ranges from .1 to 2 seconds check. I
have tried disabling all remote checks and still seem to get the same thing. If any one has any ideas I would greatly appreciate the
help. Thanks in advance, Dan -- "The porcupine with the sharpest quills gets
