If you read the SA docs *very* carefully, you'll discover that the SQL preferences configurations are unique to spamd. Personally, I think the docs should be a bit more clear on which settings apply to the SA module, and which apply to the spamassassin program, and which to spamd.

However, you can do SQL based preferences with amavisd-new. It is just a bit different, that's all. The documentation is your friend (in most cases).



Oh boy. I just read through some of it.. looks quite..uh.. interesting.
