I am running SpamAssassin 2.63 with amavisd-new and Postfix 2.0.16 and having problems with one customer getting mail through coming from a newsletter outfit. They claim the following, is this true?
'The main reason for this is a known bug with SpamAssasin, the spam filter application Webtent uses. Robert will be able to fill you in more about SpamAssassin but the gist of it is that SA uses a point system to determine whether something is flagged as Spam. SA incorrectly flags mail sent from our mail transfer agent (qmail) with a number of points. This addition of points to the total score puts the Emma messages over the Spam threshold. Qmail is widely used as an MTA for itâs industrial strength and stability.' I see the whitelist_from parameter for use in local.cf, but can this be used for whitelisting their mail server IP addresses? Or, how should that be done? -- Robert
