This is the first time I've used spam assassin and
would like some help.

I've configured a sendmail relay with SpamAssassin 6.3
and would like to use the spamc/spamd milters.

When I try to send an email through the relay
"mail-relay" I get a few errors:

May 26 15:26:19 mail-relay spamd[821]: logmsg: got
connection over /var/run/spamass.sock

I'm using unix domain sockets. I'm not sure if I
defined the milter correctly in my sendmail.mc file.
The entry looks like this:

INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`spamc',`S=local:/var/run/spamass.sock,F=,T=C:15m;S:4m;R:4m;E:10m')dnl

Iv'e also tried:
INPUT_MAIL_FILTER(`spamc',`S=local:/var/run/spamass.sock,F=')dnl

I use the following command to start spamd:

spamd -d -a -c --socketpath=/var/run/spamass.sock -D

Is this correct?

If I stop spamd, the mail relay works as intended (w/o
anti-spam of course).

Can anyone help?

Thanks
