As long as they don't patent the drinking of Earl Grey tea I'll be fine :-)
The real problem for the likes of McAfee is that if they don't patent it, somebody else might and then demand royalties from them. Software patents are bad, bad, bad, and ultimately it's making my cynical about patents in general.
