Ok, I made myself a single message and tested spamc with one message and it took about 7.883 (gaged with the time-command) to process a HTML-message with ~10kB. I think that is way to long. Any ideas why it took this time? My machine is an Athlon 2800+ on a Asus A7N8X and 1GB DDR-RAM.

Are you using Razor2/DCC, Bayes, RBLs? Could try turning them off in your local.cf and see if it makes a difference. The following commands would turn them off I think:
use_razor2 0 use_bayes 0 dns_available no
