Prevent infected machines on the inside from sending out viruses through their own SMTP engine while still allowing legitimate users to send through an external SMTP server (so you can allow outbound port 25), or something like that.
Many of us are doing that now. That is not the job of SpamAssassin, but a firewall only allowing authorized MTAs to use port 25.
Why would you need a SMTP-Proxy for this?
