eBay, as far as I know, should be whitelisted in the distro by default. is it not working?
It doesn't appear anywhere in my copy of SA 2.63. Is this new for 3.0?
Something to consider when whitelisting ebay.com, though:
eBay has an address for reporting spoof attempts. This address is hooked up to an autoresponder with messages like thanks for your report, we didn't send it, please don't click through any emails that claim to be from eBay without checking it out, if you actually gave them any info please change your password and call the cops, etc.
Then it attaches the original message. (D'oh!)
The message as a whole isn't spam, since it's a one-time response to the report you sent. But it contains the entire spam message you forwarded, so it's not something you want learned as ham. (For some reason I can never remember whether whitelist_from_rcvd scores contribute to autolearning. If they don't then never mind.)
Interestingly, PayPal does the sensible thing and doesn't attach the original message.
