Ive got SpamAssassin installed on three different machines, all installed using CPAN. I've just noticed a strange problem that only exists on one of the machines. Running spamassassin -V returns 'SpamAssassin version 2.63', but calling $Mail::SpamAssassin::VERSION in a perl script reports '2.01'.

Also, CPAN always thinks there is a new version of SpamAssassin, even if the one I just successfully installed it 5 minutes prior.

Has anyone seen anything like this before? Does anyone know where this variable is stored, and whether SpamAssassin is running somehow "half baked" on that system?

Thanks in advance.
