I wonder if ezmlm (the list software for this list) or Mailman can recognize broken clients like these and move the list info into the body when sending to those addresses? This would have to be done at initial signup, perhaps using the confirmation message, and then would be updated when that user sent a new post to the list or the admin address.
Or the lists could just refuse subscription to those using broken software unless they pass some IQ test guaranteeing ability to get off the list again unassisted.
