Hi all, Some people have been having problems using Rules du Jour to retrieve rulesets from www.rulesemporium.com. The symptom of the problem is RDJ reporting --lint failures which have HTML included in the failure message. Waiting a day for the rate limiter to expire and running RDJ again doesn't help. The beginning of the --lint error may look something like this:
Lint output: Failed to parse line in SpamAssassin configuration, skipping: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//IETF//DTD HTML 2.0//EN"> If you have this issue, check your RulesDuJour directory (/etc/spamassassin/RulesDuJour or /etc/mail/spamassassin/RulesDuJour) for any *.cf* files that contain html and delete them. It is safe to delete all *.cf* files in the RulesDuJour directory if you want to be sure. After deleting the "rulesets" that contain HTML, RDJ should work again at the next update. -- Chris Thielen Easily generate SpamAssassin rules to catch obfuscated spam phrases (0BFU$C/\TED SPA/\/\ P|-|RA$ES): http://www.sandgnat.com/cmos/ Keep up to date with the latest third party SpamAssassin Rulesets: http://www.exit0.us/index.php/RulesDuJour
