We have lowered the TTLs on SURBL zone files to 1 hour. This includes multi.surbl.org, but does not include sc.surbl.org which already had a 10 minute TTL. This should cause new records to take effect sooner since the negative caching TTL should also be 1 hour.
The negative caching TTL is in the SOA record, and need not be the same as the regular records' TTL. Setting the regular TTL shorter allows false positives to be purged more quickly. Setting the negative TTL shorter means a site that goes rogue is recognized more quickly.
