I'm not sure where you've been looking, but if you found us, it was
for something we posted long, long ago. :-)

That said, I believe there are three reasons why SpamBayes hasn't
advanced in a long while:

1. The lack of someone able to build a Windows installer for new
releases. Traditionally, SpamBayes most common user has been on
Windows, running Outlook.

2. The need to port from Python 2 to Python 3. SB was available in
some Linux distros, but I think has been dropped (or will be shortly)
because it doesn't run on Python 3.

3. The relative improvement in other easier-to-use spam filters. For
example, Google's is pretty darn good these days.

If you are able to help with either of the first two road blocks, I
think that would be great.
