I'd recommend you delete those messages from your mail server. Since
you're using Outlook, you can do this by changing this setting in your
account:
 > Tools 
  > Email Accounts
   > View or change...
    > Next
     > Select the account
      > Change
       > More settings
        > Advanced tab
         > CHECK "remove from server when deleted from deleted items"
