The Outlook plug-in doesn't work with Outlook Express, but the plug-in is just one of the "flavors" of SpamBayes. Other flavors work, though they take more effort to set up. See http://spambayes.sourceforge.net/faq.html#does-spambayes-work-with-outlo ok-express.
