Mark, the log file section you copied here is almost exactly the same as mine (I recopied mine at the bottom of this post)-- the only difference I can see is your watched folder is the Junk folder SB creates, and mine is the Spam folder I created. However, I initially had it watching the default Junk folder and when that wasn't working, I moved all the spam into my own junk email folder -- shouldn't make a difference, it seems to me.
The odd thing is....the wording of this portion of your (and my) log file makes it sound like something is going terribly wrong ("a timer FAILED," "Exception occured,"classification of No Message"), yet you say the program is working for you. What wording do you see in this portion of your log file that indicates it's processing? I've studied it over and over, but I'm not seeing what you're seeing, I guess. When I click Diagnostics, it says Log file verbosity 0. Is that ok? Are there SourceForge techs reading this list? Should I submit a bug report? Thanks, SB (those really are my initials) -----Original Message----- From: Mark Hammond [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, May 26, 2008 6:15 PM To: 'emailshere' Cc: spambayes@python.org Subject: RE: [Spambayes] 1031 Spam, 461 Good, Processed ZERO [Adding list back in] > I'm not using an Exchange server (just Pop3). > > Yes, Personal Folders\Inbox is where all my new email arrives. It doesn't seem to be setup incorrectly, as the log indicates it is trying to watch the Inbox for filtering. Eg, my log shows: """ SpamBayes: Watching (for filtering) in 'Personal Folders/Inbox' SpamBayes: Watching (for incremental training) in 'Personal Folders/Spam' Processing missed spam in folder 'Inbox' by starting a timer FAILED to add the toolbar item 'SpamBayesCommand.Manager' - (-2147352567, 'Exception occurred.', (0, None, None, None, 0, -2147467259), None) The above toolbar message is common - recreating the toolbar... Message 'Re: DirectoryWatcher (rough draft)' in 'Personal Folders/Inbox' had a Spam classification of 'No' Message ... """ Which looks roughly the same as yours - note however that mine does show messages being processed. I think I recall you were watching the "maybe" folder, which is probably wrong, but doesn't explain why SB isn't seeing new messages that arrive in your inbox.
