Thanks, Tyler. As far as I know, the main visible difference in Win 8.1 is the Metro interface. (I have Win2K, XP, and 7 here. I don't have Win 8.) The file system and permissions model is still the one used in Win Vista/7, and the need to install outside of Program Files comes from that. Installed in the Program Files hierarchy, it doesn't have permission to run. Installed outside, it does. I assume your installation was with a 32 bit version of Office. Most problems posted here stem from attempting to use SpamBayes with 64 bit Office - it's a 32 bit plugin, and not compatible. The option in that case is to install SpamBayes as a proxy server between your ISP and Outlook, instead of attempting to use it as a plugin. > Tyler Sullins, ACMT > tsull...@calbaptist.edu ______ Dennis https://plus.google.com/u/0/105128793974319004519 _______________________________________________ SpamBayes@python.org https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/spambayes Info/Unsubscribe: http://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/spambayes Check the FAQ before asking: http://spambayes.sf.net/faq.html
