Hello,

big german mail provider enforce SSL now. The solution for me (POP, on Windows
XP Prof.) was to change the order of the two proxies I use. GPGRelay connects
with SSL to the provider, gets the mail (decrypts, if necessary) and gives it
to Spambayes which hands it down to Thunderbird.

GPGRelay provides encryption (PGP/GPG) to any email client. I prefer it to the
internal encryption of Thunderbird, because I like to have the mails
unencrypted within Thunderbird:

You don`t need to use encryption if you only want SSL for Spambayes. GPGRelay
will only encrypt on imported keys. No keys - no encryption.

Regards

M.
