It is nominally still a valid app. It's not really maintained at this point. Based on the infrequent questions which appear on this list, it would seem that most users run Windows of some flavor. I can't do anything with windows. Until someone steps forward to deal with Windows issues (at least building an installer, perhaps running as well), the status isn't likely to change.
