        I've seen things like that many times over the years.  Problem
        is, they don't work; most spam is sent with forged headers, so
        the senders don't see any replies.  I've heard stories of
        invalid addresses continuing to receive spam for years and years
        after they were closed.

        If an address accepts mail, they'll spam it.
