In my last email, mentioned about the legality or lack thereof of forged and misleading headers in spam. This is an example of how bad the situation has gotten.

I have been receiving at least three spams a day from various pornsters, all of which contain a return path in the form of Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>. Examples are:

Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
Return-Path: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>

They all advertise porn sites with .biz domains

http://www.julieweiss.biz
http://www.exalta-networks.biz
http://www.thibodeau-usa.biz
http://www.pacificalliance.biz
http://www.fortunamail.biz
http://www.dahlianet.biz

What all of these have in common is that they are supposedly registered to:

owner-address: Myers Data Services Inc.
owner-address: 6679 St-Louis Rd.
owner-address: 67552
owner-address: Houston
owner-address: Texas
owner-address: United States of America

I say supposedly, because there is no such place as 6679 St-Louis Rd. in Houston Texas and there is no company Myers Data Services Inc. registered in that state! I know this for a fact after complaining to the Texas AG office.

They also have the following in common.

1) They were registered through Gandi SRL in France.
2) There seems to be a connection with optedxmail.com. They have an address of:
owner-address: Exalta's Trading & Brokerage Ltd.
owner-address: Scotia Square, Suite 817
owner-address: 8017
owner-address: Grand Cayman
owner-address: Cayman (Islands)
3) A possible contact is: Sophie Myers ([EMAIL PROTECTED])
4) A tracert shows them to be using AT&T Canada for their connectivity

It would appear from other complaints that I have seen on google that Gandi has not done a thing even though the fact that the registration info is falsified is a violation of their TOS. It would also appear that AT&T Canada won't do anything as complaints to them about these guys (as well as titbusters.com for whom they also supply connectivity) have gone un-answered.

So -- any ideas as to where to attack next?

Tony
