The sad fact is that, in general, you can't. The senders of the sorts of messages you enumerate above have no interest in reducing the size of the lists they send to. In fact, their main interest is in _increasing_ the size of the lists they send to, so even if an address has been bouncing since 1994 (as a couple of mine have been) they will still keep trying to send to them, and even add several new varieties of badly-mangled versions of those addresses.
