I've been reading SUGGESTION4 and thinking on it for a couple of days. I've not dived into the internals of spamdyke's graylisting feature but at some point spamdyke has a connection with qmail to pass the incoming data.
Theoretically it should be possible to use this connection the do part of the smtp conversation with qmail and intercept it's errorcode in case the (local) recipient does not exist or when relaying isn't allowed.
