I love that error message.  It reminds me of one I wrote long ago (which 
my users hated) that said "Unknown error. Please contact someone.". :)

No, spamdyke won't reject messages if spamhaus.org (or any DNS RBL) is 
down.  If their DNS servers are responding (they seem to be) and 
returning valid results, spamdyke will continue to function normally.  
If their DNS servers are entirely down, spamdyke will simply ignore them 
(it considers no response to be the same as an "all clear").  At the 
moment, I'd bet spamhaus.org is probably just having a problem with 
their website, not their entire service.

The only danger is if spamhaus.org's DNS servers start returning false 
positives.  In that case, spamdyke will do as it's told and reject the 
message(s).  (Some DNS RBLs have done this when they shut down, in order 
to force mail administrators to remove the RBL from their configurations.)
