Thanks to everyone for their indulgence and, indeed, I did not include
very explicit descriptors regarding the way in which it failed. I work 7
days a week in a warehouse (there now) so - when I get a bit of time - I
will try the whole thing again and see if I can figure out what's going
on. I will also respond with more details regarding problems. I may go
the route of using the QmailToaster package as I simply do not have the
hours in the day to keep up with everything. I probably understated the
importance of all of this, by the way, as my web skills are the only
reason I still have a job in Flint, Michigan. I work in retail (kind of)
but the guy who hired me knew nothing of my web skills. Now, this entire
operation is dependent upon a bunch of web sites I built and the mail, of
course. I don't have to sell a mattress and the owner will keep me here
until I die (we sell mattresses online, etc.).

I'm kind of tangential but I am stretched way too thin. I think the
QmailToaster suggestion is probably a very good idea. I believe it's
rpm-based but I started with Redhat so that's not an issue. I compiled a
server on Centos 5.2 awhile back and it worked (after a lot of futzing
around). But - again - I used outdated stuff...

Thank you, gentleman
