Hi all, it might be helful to add in the documentation that if you try to use SMTP AUTH with vpopmail, you need to either be running qmail under the vpopmail username, or set vpopmail/bin/vchkpw suid to vpopmail user.
If vpopmail is not run with vpopmail username (or with whatever vpopmail was compiled to use), it will fail to authenticate user. It will print in the error log: ERROR: authentication error 3 (vchkpw uses this to indicate an unknown username or authentication failure) vchkpw-smtp: vpopmail user not found [email protected]:123.45.56.78 which kind of get's you wander, as [email protected] _is_ my proper username. bye, ratko _______________________________________________ spamdyke-users mailing list [email protected] http://www.spamdyke.org/mailman/listinfo/spamdyke-users
