I suppose it's odd, but the rDNS name doesn't resolve: $ host smtpout001.ash3.facebook.com Host smtpout001.ash3.facebook.com not found: 3(NXDOMAIN) $ You'd think the admins at facebook would know better. I imagine they'll get it fixed soon. On the other hand, perhaps the IP address has been reprovisioned and the rDNS name in question is no longer a valid server. P.S. I'm assuming that the rDNS name shown is indeed correct.
