I am using simscan to use virus scanners. The mail will be rejected if it contains a virus. Obviously this is a "DENIED_OTHER" rejection from the sight of spamdyke. According to the documentation "DENIED_OTHER" should use the rejection string it gets from Qmail. My problem now is that rejected mail did not contain the (full) rejection string. In /var/log/mail.log I can find following log message: Feb 21 14:46:06 devhost spamdyke[26135]: DENIED_OTHER from: [email protected] to: [email protected] origin_ip: xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx origin_rdns: xxxx.xxxxxxxxxxx.xx auth: (unknown) encryption: TLS reason: 554_Your_email_was_rejected_because_it_contains_the_Eicar-Test-Signature_virus But in my rejected Mail it seems that the text is truncated after the "554": Remote host said: 554 See: http://www.domaintechnik.at/mailpolicy#DENIED_OTHER My suggestion would be that there is an issue while stripping/quoting the rejection message which spamdyke gets from qmail, in this case the "_"?
