Hi Alex,

It means the mail client sending the email is not using the correct SMTP
protocol.

The most likely cause is a spam client that is badly configured.

Kind Regards,
Mark Frater

Hello all,

I started having a some of these in the log:

spamdyke[27559]: FILTER_OTHER response: "503 MAIL first (#5.5.1)"
spamdyke[27559]: DENIED_OTHER from: a@****.com to: a@******* origin_ip:
188.138.72.100 origin_rdns: etc.

I do not really understand what Mail first means and why spamdyke rejecting
the message.

Rgds
Alex
